Bainbridge Alphamats are 100% cotton, acid and lignin free and will never yellow or harm your valuable images. Compare our mats to the cheap, imported mats sold elsewhere that are made from acidic wood pulp: their bevels start out yellow, and quickly turn brown with time. Those mats will cause an irreversible discoloration along the edges of your art, which eventually spreads to the entire image.
