Ultraviolet Filtering Glass
Conservation Clear Glass, the new standard for archival framing, from TruVue, the world leader in picture frame glass products.. 2.5mm thickness, with over 89% light transmission. Each lite is pre-cut to perfectly fit your frame, and packed in paper for protection.
This looks just like regular glass, with no fuzziness or color shift. Coated on one side with an invisible UV blocker that filters out over 99% of ultraviolet rays, both in sunlight and artificial light. This dramatically increases the lifespan of light sensitive items, such as color photographs, newspaper articles and posters.
We recommend UV glass for framing any original works of art, as it offers additional protection against fading and yellowing of valuable pieces. Works well for replacing the broken glass in old frames, as well as adding glass to your matted prints, and giving both an added amount of protection. We offer many unusual sizes, for framing business cards, greeting cards and custom bookmarks.
